ICYMI: MI Senate GOP Introduces Plan to Restore Right to Work in Michigan

Lansing, MI - Senate Republicans have introduced a plan that would revive Michigan’s economy and attract new jobs and opportunities to Michigan.

This week Senate Republicans introduced a plan that would restore Right to Work in Michigan after Democrats repealed the workers’ freedom protection last term. This comes as Michigan consecutively sees some of the worst unemployment rates in the nation.

“The data is perfectly clear: under Right to Work Michigan workers would see lower unemployment rates, higher wages, and more job opportunities. A key tenet to reviving Michigan’s economy must be restoring workers’ freedom and reinstating Right to Work,” said Zach Rudat, Spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network.

The package is unfortunately dead on arrival thanks to Senate Democrats, who are desperately clinging to power while 270,000 Michiganders from Senate District 35 go 173 days without representation in the chamber.
