Jim Haadsma, Democrat Establishment Doubles-Down on Losing Playbook
Lansing, MI - The Democrat establishment is rearing its ugly head in Battle Creek, as losing former State Representative Jim Haadsma launches another bid for the State House.
Haadsma, who tried to help a Democrat ally sweep a sexual assault under the rug, enters the race with a ton of baggage and an abysmal record in Lansing, including:
Taxpayer-funded handouts to big corporations to the tune of $5.8 billion, subsidizing electric vehicles and corporations with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
A green new deal that makes energy less reliable and more expensive, raising household energy costs by over $2,700 a year.
An income tax hike in the face of Biden’s skyrocketing inflation.
Increased government spending by a jaw-dropping 43%, blowing through a 9 billion dollar surplus to fund corporate handouts, bloated bureaucracy, and pork barrel projects.
A failed education agenda that makes classrooms less safe, less transparent, less accountable, and less successful.
A backwards “economic” agenda that drives jobs out of Michigan.
What’s notably absent from Haadsma’s lengthy record in Lansing is a plan to fix our roads, a huge contrast from his Republican successor, Representative Steve Frisbie.
“Voters in Calhoun County fired Jim Haadsma last year for a reason: they were sick and tired of politicians who raised their costs, wasted their tax dollars, failed our students, and drove jobs and opportunities out of Michigan. Within months, Frisbie has accomplished what Haadsma couldn’t deliver for years: a common-sense roads plan that invests billions in our local roads without raising taxes,” said Zach Rudat, Spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network.
Representative Steve Frisbie’s roads plan ensures every penny in taxes paid at the pump goes towards our roads. The plan brings an end to wasteful corporate handouts, redirecting billions of existing dollars towards our local roads without raising taxes.
