Whitmer and Benson Don’t Bother to Vote in their Convention
A shocking new report lays out what actually happened in the Michigan Democrat Party’s convention this month, and how radical candidates like Amir Makled, who previously praised Hezbollah, secured his Party’s nomination. Not only were the official vote counts leaked, but also which delegates voted and who they voted for.
In terms of total votes, Governor Gretchen Whitmer-backed candidate for University of Michigan Regent Jordan Acker was absolutely crushed by terrorist-sympathizer Makled, losing by thousands of votes. Makled was the least popular candidate among elected Democrats, but the most popular among Democrat delegates.
Even more surprising is the fact that some of Michigan’s top Democrats did not participate in the voting at all. Gretchen Whitmer, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, and all three candidates in the Democrat Primary for U.S. Senate failed to cast a vote.
There have been ongoing questions about Whitmer’s falling influence with Democrats in Michigan and widespread concern over MDP Chair Curtis Hertel’s leadership at the convention, and this new report is evidence that the Democrat Party is falling apart at the seams.
“Gretchen Whitmer and Jocelyn Benson knew what was coming at their convention and wanted nothing to do with it,” said Gabe Butzke, a spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network. “They had a chance to stand up to the radical activists who have taken over their party but were too cowardly to do so.”
