Michigan Energy Prices Continue to Rise Under Gretchen Whitmer

Lansing, MI – A new heatmap analysis of energy prices in Michigan shows that prices have skyrocketed under Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

The analysis shows that prices have risen more than 15% over the last five years, with average monthly prices now higher than $200 for certain times of the year. In that same time, Gretchen Whitmer’s handpicked members of the Michigan Public Services Commission (MPSC) have approved more than a billion dollars in rate increases.

Under the governor’s Green New Deal, prices are expected to continue to rise, with Michiganders’ prices projected to increase by more than $2,700 per year.

“The consequences of Gretchen Whitmer’s radical energy policies are playing out all across Michigan,” said Gabe Butzke, a spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network. “Michiganders are paying more than ever, but Lansing Democrats like Winnie Brinks and Kevin Hertel continue to back the governor’s far-left energy agenda.”
