MFN Files Complaint Against Chedrick Greene for Violating the Public Trust
Lansing, MI – Today, Michigan Forward Network filed a complaint with the Michigan Secretary of State against Democrat candidate for the 35th state Senate District, Chedrick Greene.
As first reported by The Midwesterner, Greene has been using public resources in campaign materials, including digital advertisements. In the campaign ads, Greene can be seen in a firehouse, wearing Saginaw Fire Department uniforms and turnout gear, and in front of fire department vehicles. In 2018, A Republican Sheriff was found to have violated campaign finance rules when he appeared in an advertisement wearing his uniform with a squad car in the background.

“Democrat candidates like Chedrick Greene believe they’re above the law,” said Gabe Butzke, a spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network. “At the same time he’s running to represent the public in the 35th district, Greene violates their trust by using taxpayer resources for his campaign. The Secretary of State must hold him accountable for these violations and not allow this to become just another example of the Democrat double-standard.”
