With the power of her Democrat Trifecta, Gretchen Whitmer destroyed Michigan’s energy policies, forcing through an energy package with expensive mandates that will cost Michiganders an estimated $2,700 per year.

She also gutted local control, giving the authority to approve large-scale wind and solar projects to her handpicked bureaucrats at the MPSC. Residents in Zeeland Township have already seen the consequences, with local officials trying to fight back against a massive solar development.

“Gretchen Whitmer has made Michigan one of the least affordable states in the country,” said Gabe Butzke, a spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network. “Instead of listening to Michiganders, she followed the drumbeat of her activist allies and Lansing insiders.”
