Jocelyn Benson Won’t Stop the Lies

Lansing, MI – Tonight, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and Congressman John James faced off in their second gubernatorial debate, and, as predicted, Benson continued to mislead voters about her record.

For starters, she repeated the lie that her family has not profited from data centers:

She went on to boldly defend government bureaucracy and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, which was supposed to oversee a $20 million grant to Democrat donor Fay Beydoun, who went on to waste those taxpayer dollars on personal extravagances:

“The main takeaway for anyone watching the debate last week, and for anyone who tuned in tonight, is that Jocelyn Benson is allergic to telling the truth,” said Gabe Butzke, a spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network. “She can’t be honest about her personal finances or about her failures as Michigan’s Secretary of State.”
