ICYMI: Flip-Flopping Kevin Hertel Tries to Trick His Constituents

Lansing, MI – In case you missed it, last week state Senator Kevin Hertel took to social media to attack data center growth in Michigan. The problem for Hertel is that he has been Michigan’s biggest data center champion for years:

Saying one thing and doing another seems to be a recurring theme for Hertel, who came under fire last spring for flip-flopping his vote on the supplemental appropriation for Selfridge Air National Guard Base, nearly crushing a massive federal investment in his district.

“At this point, it must be difficult for Kevin Hertel to keep his own policy priorities straight because he keeps changing his mind,” said Gabe Butzke, a spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network. “Sadly, his constituents have to pay the price for his lack of principles.”
