Democrats Go All-in on Radical Leftists
Lansing, MI – Yesterday, the Progressive takeover of the Democrat Party was completed. In all the most important contests between Democrats, the more radical candidate won, promising Socialism, Medicare-for-All, and tax hikes.
For starters, two candidates officially backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), William Lawrence and Donovon McKinney, won their primaries. Lawrence has promised a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, and McKinney wants to defund the police and end qualified immunity.
McKinney will find a willing ally in Washtenaw County Prosecutor and Democrat nominee for Attorney General Eli Savit. While McKinney has said he wants to end cash bail and let criminals out of prison, that is something Savit has already done as a prosecutor. Savit also just stopped enforcing certain laws, including prostitution and the sale of magic mushrooms.
Democrats’ choices for the state Legislature are not much better. Loser Jim Haadsma, who previously came under fire for covering up sexual assault allegations against a union lobbyist, was nominated again. State Representative Carol Glandville, who backed Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Green New Scam that will cost Michigan families $2,700 a year on their electric bills, voted to allow boys to play girls’ sports, and supported gutting A-F grading for schools, was nominated for a promotion to the state Senate.
State Representative Denise Mentzer, running for reelection and winning her primary, backed legislation that would make it a felony hate crime to cause someone to feel “threatened by words.”
Finally, there is Abdul El-Sayed. The poster child for the Progressive takeover of the Democrat Party. Sadly, it is not just El-Sayed’s policies, like abolishing ICE, defunding the police, and taxpayer-funded healthcare, that are cause for concern. El-Sayed has also stood shoulder to shoulder with anti-American terrorist sympathizer Hasan Piker, who said: “America deserved 9/11.”
“The Socialists haven’t left any room for moderate Democrats in Michigan,” said Gabe Butzke, a spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network. “Yesterday, Michiganders were shown the new direction of the Democrat Party: anti-police, anti-jobs, and even anti-America.”
