Mallory McMorrow Crashes and Burns on CNN
Lansing, MI – Yesterday, state Senator and U.S. Senate hopeful Mallory McMorrow went on CNN to defend some of her earlier comments about Michigan, the state she hopes to represent. In now-deleted posts on X (formerly Twitter), McMorrow called Midwesterners morons and mused about leaving Michigan so she could return to California.
Despite leaving California in 2014, she continued to vote there before finally updating her registration to reflect her actual state of residence. After widespread condemnation of her remarks and illegal voting, McMorrow went on CNN to defend herself, but has only made things worse.
The defense of her voting fraud? “Moving is hard”:
Despite running to represent Michigan, McMorrow still stands by her comments bashing the state and rural Americans:
“We don’t think it’s too much to ask that the people who want to represent Michigan should actually like Michigan,” said Gabe Butzke, a spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network. “The disdain that Mallory McMorrow shows for Michiganders, people who disagree with her, and for our election laws is exactly why people believe the Democrat Party has left them behind.”
