Absence Speaks Volumes at Democrat Convention
Lansing, MI – On Saturday, the Michigan Democrat Party held its state convention to formally nominate its slate of radical, far-left candidates – Winnie Brinks, Eli Savit, and Garlin Gilchrist – for statewide office. Their last convention in April made headlines for its chaos, calls to violence, and antisemitism:

Outside of the fact that Democrats struggled to get delegates to show up, many high-profile party leaders did not attend either. Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Attorney General Dana Nessel, and every Democrat member of Michigan’s congressional delegation failed to attend. Nessel was outspoken about her safety concerns and the fact that the rise in antisemitism among Michigan Democrats discouraged her from showing up:

The campaign of current Lieutenant Governor and Democrat candidate for Secretary of State Garlin Gilchrist put out a video meant to highlight his fight against Republicans, but when the camera panned to the “crowd,” it was almost sad how emptythe audience was:
Nevertheless, the Democrat Party continued in its crusade against average Michiganders and nominated the most radical slate of candidates Michigan has ever seen. Eli Savit, a Soros-backed county prosecutor, is best known for letting dangerous criminals out of jail and decriminalizing drugs and prostitution.
Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks was the legislative architect of the Democrats’ failures under the trifecta, leading to soaring prices and an abysmal unemployment rate.
Of course, Gilchrist is not without skeletons in the closet. He has a history of sympathizing with the terrorist group Hamas and has barely shown up for work as lieutenant governor.
“Michigan Democrats have shown once again that their party has no interest in real solutions or making life more affordable for Michiganders. Instead, they would rather make empty promises and continue down the path of radical activism instead of responsible governing,” said Gabe Butzke, a spokesperson for Michigan Forward Network. “In the contest between Common Sense and Crazy, Democrats chose Crazy every single time.”
